Branford Building Supplies is a LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified member of The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC.)  Members of USGBC forge strategic alliances with key industry and research organizations and federal, state, and local government agencies to transform the built environment.

Representing the entire industry on environmental building matters, the unique perspective and collective power of USGBC provide members with enormous opportunity to effect change in the way buildings are designed, built, and maintained.  Leading a national consensus for producing a new generation of buildings that deliver high performance inside and out, USGBC works to develop policy guidance and educational/marketing tools to support the adoption of sustainable building. USGBC organizes Greenbuild Annual International Conference and Expo, and has created the LEED Rating System, a tool to help design teams and owners determine green project goals, identify design strategies and green product resources, measure and monitor progress, and document success.
